As well as the Talkable app, I have developed a practical two-part child care training and professional development program that will give staff at your centre all of the skills and tools they need to support early language development.
These sessions are provided in conjunction with the Talkable app and an Educator Workbook so that by the end of the program all educators will be able to:
Identify children who may be late to talk
Understand how to support language learning through everyday routines
Use 10 practical strategies with children in their room
Use 40 key word signs to support early language
Support children who speak a language other than English at home
Identify books that will help children learn new words
Use songs and rhymes to build language
Understand when a child may need further support form a speech pathologist or paediatrician
These sessions can be provided at a time that works for your centre - either in-person (Perth metropolitan area) for child care training in Perth or via video conference anywhere in Australia or throughout the world.
